Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Foil app (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Foil is a food expiration tracking application that helps users reduce food waste by tracking expiration dates, providing recipe suggestions, and managing shopping lists.

3. Subscription Terms

3.1 Foil Premium

Foil offers optional auto-renewable subscription plans (“Foil Premium”) that provide access to premium features including:

Unlimited recipe suggestions
Custom recipe generation
Waste insights and statistics

3.2 Subscription Plans

Monthly Plan: $3.99 USD per month
Annual Plan: $34.99 USD per year

3.3 Free Trial

New subscribers may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the end of the trial period, you will be automatically charged the subscription fee.

3.4 Billing and Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.

3.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s subscription settings:

iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods.

4. User Accounts

You may create an account to sync your data across devices. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Providing accurate account information

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
Interfere with or disrupt the App’s functionality
Reverse engineer or decompile the App

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its content, features, and functionality, is owned by Foil and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

Food expiration dates and recipe suggestions provided by the App are for informational purposes only. Always use your own judgment regarding food safety.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FOIL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms in the App. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
